Welcome to Shane Regal Design! Take a look around my site and let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
I understand that most people have no idea what it takes to put together a website. So, I will be more than happy to answer any questions and address any concerns you may have.
I often hear nightmare stories from business owners of how a "web-guy" took their money, started designing a site, then disappeared to never be heard from again, leaving the client with an unfinished poorly executed site. Rest assured, this is something you won't have to worry about here.
Without you I would not be in business. I do this for a living and pride myself in running an ethical business. Most of my work comes as referals. So, I will be in constant communication with you throughout the entire design process. We will work together to make sure you get exactly what you need and expect. My end-goal is to make sure you are happy with the finished product. And I want you to emphatically refer me to your family and friends for any design/web needs they might have.
I look forward to serving you!

There comes a time in one's life when you wake up one morning to realize that today is going to be pretty much the same as yesterday, as will tomorrow be the same as today and so on.... The dreams and aspirations you once had are quickly fading and are being replaced with routine. And then it hits you, and you ask yourself, "Am I where I want to be in life?", and, "have I accomplished those things that I set out to do as a young man?". Unfortunately for most, the answer is a resounding "No". And you realize that if you don't step up and seize the day it's highly likely that you will not accomplish your goals.
I for one am tired of "settling" for routine.
Now, before I go any further let me say that by most standards I am very blessed. I have been successfully married for almost 23 years to a beautiful woman I consider to be my best friend. We have 2 wonderful kids together: a 22yr old son, and a beautiful 15yr old daughter. We have always found favor and have been blessed financially.
As a young man and musician, music and specifically, "playing guitar" was a passion and driving force in my life. I remember sitting in school daydreaming about upcoming shows and events the band I was playing with had booked. I couldn't wait to get out of school to play with the band. And the weekends were bliss... traveling, playing music, meeting new people. I had an incredible time as a teenager. I didn't want it to ever end. I wanted to make music my life.
However, not knowing exactly what to do once graduating High School I went directly to college. I wasn't ready.... I wanted to ROCK! But, desiring to meet the approval of my family, and not knowing how exactly to pursue music as a career, I continued my education... even though my heart wasn't in it. And to make matters worse, I declared the most general and boring major offered at my school - business management. Sitting through classes like business law was like watching paint dry. The only ray of sunshine during this time was meeting my wife.
This threw a wrench in my "plans". But, realizing she was a treasure, a true gift from heaven, I wasn't willing to let her slip away. So, I stepped up and married that girl! And we started a family immediately. All the while my "plans" of pursuing music as a career seemed to slip further and further away. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret anything. The decision I made to be a husband and father superseded any dreams of being a rockstar. I realize I am blessed to have found such a wonderful mate. She has always been more than supportive... and believe me, I've tested her.
After college I started pursuing work in field of my degree... only to be quickly disappointed with the dismal choices offered... and even more disappointed with the salary offered. At the time I had been giving guitar lessons part time while attending school. I was making pretty good money at it and I really enjoyed teaching. It was obvious - Why not just embrace guitar instruction as a career? I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Before I knew it my schedule filled up and I was making way more than what any employer had offered! This continued for more than 12 years.
Then everything changed. I received a call from a pro band looking for a guitarist. The only problem ... The band was based in Atlanta, GA. And we were in PA. But, was this the opportunity of my dreams? I had to know... or at least try. Remember what I said about my mate being "more than supportive"? Yep, before I knew it we had sold everything including our home and were moving to the ATL.
Well, to make a long story short, the band was a bust. Within 5 months I was jobless and flat broke. I tried to teach guitar, but I couldn't give lessons away for free. Nothing I did in music was working. But did I give up? Did I pack the family up and move back to PA? I think you know the answer...
Fortunately, I had a keen interest in graphic design and had taught myself webdesign in the mid 90's. A friend, knowing I had design skills, suggested I interview for a web design job. I did and was hired immediately. Praise the Lord! I've been doing graphic design full-time ever since.
